The work that UNICEF does is so vital to countries torn by strife. The Clay Nation rocks for generously contributing to this cause. Of course, I am not surprised given the example Clay sets for all of us time and time again. It is a real joy to be a fan of Clay's.

Well, it looks like the donations are going to reach to $200,000. I had originally posted that it would at least make it to $150,000. Today, my heart is swelling because of the total we now see donated. I am not ashamed to say that I was wrong about my original post of $150,000. I love this opportunity to know about Afghanistan and what Unicef and Clay are/and will be doing there. The video certainly caused me to donate again. Thank you again and again from the bottom of my heart for giving the Claynation the opportunity to show what we can do, and for Clay and Unicef to make it happen.

Chris, thank you once again for some great news. I hope that the donations continue to come in for the children and we can ultimately reach the $200,000 outside goal! I am wondering (as many others I'm sure) if this new $$ amount does or does not yet include the Canadian totals?

Thank you Chris for posting a new update.
I love everything about the Clay/UNICEF collaboration. An organization that I have personally supported for decades (I started many years ago with my little Trick or Treat box) joined with the efforts of one amazing man - Mr. Clay Aiken.
Add to the mix the passion of the Clay Nation and what a winning combination.
I am thrilled that together we can all bring some much needed supplies and services to the children of Afghanistan.
Keep up the good work everyone!!!
I am proud to call myself a Clay fan. Thank you Clay and thank you UNICEF and congratulations to my fellow members of the Clay Nation!!!!!

I am honored to be able to help, even in a small way, in this campaign to offer educational opportunities to the youth of Afghanistan.
This blog and the ongoing UNICEF press releases about the Afghan campaign challenge have been extremely informative and inspiring.
I'm proud of Mr. Aiken for his compassion, his courage, and the way he prepared for this journey by immersing himself in the culture of the people of Afghanistan, so as to honor them by trying to understand them, as well as communicate intelligently with them and about them.
He has succeeded both in educating donors and inviting them into community with those they serve by their donations.
Bravo to the Afghani people, UNICEF, CLAY, and all who are helping to create solidarity. Now lets see those donation numbers continue to climb!

It seems like it's mostly the ladies doing all the fundraising & campaigning here for 1 very beloved Clay Aiken. I'm chuckling at how this guy can get us ladies fired up & motivated to help change the world w/ him.
I sure hope the gents who are watching this are learning a thing or 2 about the worthyness of doing good.....

Thank you UNICEF for providing CLAY the opportunity to SEE the WORLD. He has become one of your EYES to what really is happening out there. Watch out, he is going to be one if not the brightest EYE for UNICEF. Please keep an eye on this one-in-a million EYE. Don't let anybody poke this great EYE. It is hard in today's world to find another EYE like this one.
Again, thank you.

BRAVO, UNICEF!!!!
I am so impressed how you are embracing all of the current trends in technology (iTunes podcasts, MySpace, etc.) to spread the important words of your mission!!
Pictures, videos are so important to speak of needs that words can often fail to express!! Many thanks to Clay...and your organization...for sharing these eye-opening moments. With our new awareness we can all rally together to be the movement and voice for change!!

I am also proud to be an international fan of Clays, from Cape Town South Africa. He has been inspiring me for a long time now and will continue to do so. This is the second time I have donated to help Unicef, and it is great to know we are helping all those children.

There was never a doubt in my mind they we, as a Claynation, would exceed the $100,000 original appeal for the Afghani children. This man, with a big heart and voice, makes me believe more every day why we "came for the voice and stayed for the man".
