[In the Field] Clay Aiken: blogging and raising funds to help kids

I forgot to mention in my last post: Clay will be blogging from the field, so be sure to check back soon. And if you want to donate in his honor to help kids in Mexico, click here. Thanks to everyone who's given already -- children in Mexico will have the best chance of survival because of your generosity!

Thank you, Clay Aiken and UNICEF, for providing me with an opportunity to remember that giving is the spirit of the season.

I'm doing my small part to raise awareness by blogging about this fundraising drive. Good to see that lots of donations are already being made towards the $100,000 goal!

I'm looking forward to reading Clay's field notes. I thought that the ones he wrote for Afghanistan were thoughtful, informative and optimistic.

Safe travels to Clay, Mrs. Parker and Brett. May your field visit to Mexico provide you with many warm memories of the wonderful people of that nation.

I am so proud of Clay. He has been a fantastic UNICEF representative. I'm thrilled he's going to take his family with him to Mexico and see firsthand the devastation caused by the massive flooding. I can't wait to read his field blogs.

UNICEF, you picked the right ambassador for this position.

Wendy Williams:

Clay, Faye and Brett:

Please note Clay, I wish for you and your family safe travels to Mexico. Remember we love you all and support you always and forever Clay. As for UNICEF for the work you all do together to help rebuild a nation from tragedy!

I'll be waiting to read your blogs upon your time in Mexico and hope everything goes well and your trip home is a safe one!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year for 2008!
