In December, UNICEF Ambassador Clay Aiken visited children affected by the recent flooding in Mexico and made an appeal for $100,000 to support UNICEF programs.
Well, you did it again! I asked you to join me in supporting UNICEF programs in Mexico this holiday season and you exceeded my expectations. More than $100,000 before the end of the year--AMAZING! Thank you all so much.
As my friends at UNICEF mentioned, we are working hard to put together my holiday album from my trip with my mom and Brett in Mexico. We had a great time and met so many of the wonderful people your donations are going to help. Can't wait to share some of my favorite pictures with all of you!
Stay tuned--we'll get it out to you as soon as possible. Until then... I'm off to rehearsals.

Hi Clay,
I'm glad you had a safe trip with your mom and brother. I can't wait to recieve the photo album of your trip. Thank you for making us all aware of this need for these children in Mexico. I am sure I'm not the only one who was totally unaware that this even happened in OCT to these families. They will continue to be in my prayers. Congratulations on exceeding your goals! You know by now you can count on your fans. See you in NYC!

"Sometimes we see how joy returns to the lives of the most destitute when they realize that many among us are concerned about them and show them our love. After all, was it not Christ himself also said, 'Every time you did it to the least of my brethren, you did it to me' ... You are not to be indifferent to the suffering of others, but it is meant to deeply affect you."
~ Mother Teresa ~
Clay, you lead by your words and actions ... walking amongst your peers, co-workers and all those who sacrifice their time to work to better the lives of the needful is true inspiration.

Congrats Clay, and UNICEF!
We all knew you could do it.
We get the best of both worlds, watching Clay succeed in everything that he does, and being able to be involved in a great charity to help those in dire need. What a great feeling!
I hope 2008 brings a better year for everyone!

Thanks, Clay, for reminding me of the need experienced by our neighbors to the south. The world is a better place because of you. And if those words have a familiar ring, as I imagine they will, a second thank you for reminding us that the world is a better place because HE loved us all.

I'm so happy for you Clay, that you got the Christmas present you wanted. I just wish that my first donation would have went to the Mexico fund. I had hit the wrong button and it went to the general fund. Is there a way to get it back? Just kidding. Its all being put to good use. I donated again to make sure you and the kids in Mexico got a present from me as well.
Happy 2008!!! I look forward to it.

Clay, you inspire us to move from our comfort zones into the world to help others less fortunate.
I knew so little about UNICEF until you became a UNICEF Ambassador, and began to educate us about it. I will now keep myself aware of their needs.
UNICEF is so fortunate to have you, and we are equally lucky that you crossed our passed those few short years ago.
You are compassion, humor, talent, love, heart, character, integrity, and class (yes, class).
I'm so proud to be a Clay Aiken fan. You make it so easy.

Clay, I wonder how many other celebs would spend their Christmas holiday doing what you did for UNICEF. You not only talk the talk, you walk the walk as well....
