Chat online, make a difference for kids

It's hard to believe that the simple act of sending an instant message can make such a difference, but it can. Through Microsoft's i'm Initiativeā„¢, Windows Live Messenger users who selected UNICEF as their cause of choice helped raise more than $250,000 to save children's lives, making us #1 out of the ten cause organizations that the initiative supports. If you're one of those users, we hope you'll like the video we made for you.

If you haven't joined the i'm Initiative yet, it's so easy to do. Just click the button at left and get talking! And then, spread the word. The more people that join us, the more lives we can save.

Hello Everyone,
I have been a member of US Fund for UNICEF, since 1994. I am Mila and it's very uplifting for the soul when I am able to help UNICEF to help all children around the world to have clean drinking water, free from waterborne illnesses, have basic needs on their daily lives, educations, and to have a better life in the future. I believe that if rich nations will come together as a cohesive entity to better the lives of others especially the children of the poorest of the poor; then that's the best investment we can provide for the future of the next generation. Rather than them struggling to look for food. Therefore we need to provide them with clean drinking water, clothing, and not to be digging every day in the Garbage dump site to earn a living and most of all for the children to have decent shelter to live. Thank you.

Sincerely,
Mila

It's so awesome to finally see the results of a ridiculously simple action. It took seconds to add that emblem to my messenger and after countless hours of conversation with my friends and family, it's nice to see that my talking (er, typing) abilities have amounted to something far greater than I ever thought. I'm sharing this video with as many people as I can.. to let them know just how easy it is to do something for others. Thanks for creating this! Keep up the good work, Unicef- you guys rock! :) *hugs*
