As you can tell by looking at the unicefusa.org website, we have a whole new look. We also have a new and improved Online Volunteer Center.

Our volunteers received an email asking them to be among the first to log into the Online Volunteer Center, take a look around and let us know their thoughts. The response was overwhelmingly positive and we couldn't be more thrilled.
Many of the resources available on the previous site can still be found here, including our online training modules, toolkits, downloadable flyers and more. Over the coming months, we will be adding more resources, launching new features and using our volunteer feedback to make it as user-friendly as possible. So let us know what you think!

Hi! i would like to voluteer at a local public library. But i feel it is in my best intrest, unicef's,and the childrens to watch somebody else give lectures near by. Can somebody point me in the right direction concerning this matter. As a child I was taught about the amazing things that Unicef does. I feel as though now it is my turn to teach those that don"t have the privelge of being in MUN or being well educated. I believe every child should know how they can make a difference and learn what is realy going on in this world. I live in Orange County and would love if somebody could take me under there wing before i decide to do it myself.
Thank you

Lindsay, thanks for your blog post and your interest in UNICEF! While we don't have a formalized speaker's bureau, plenty of volunteers are educating, advocating and fundraising for UNICEF in their home communities. Have you registered as a volunteer at www.unicefusa.org/volunteer and viewed all of the volunteer resources? Check out the speaker resources and email volunteer@unicefusa.org if you have any questions!

Hi Lindsay, We have a variety of "speaker resources" available for download in our Online Volunteer Center. I encourage you to check them out. You will first need to become a registered volunteer, and then you can download the speaker resources.

Hi, how does a family go about applying to become volunteers on the Mosquito Nets in Mozambique or similar projects? This is something I saw on American Idol the other night & would love to get involved...we live in South Africa...I have not discussed it with my family yet, but would like to get all my facts together before I do. Regards

Hi Hele'.
The U.S. Fund for UNICEF does not deploy volunteers to other countries; all our volunteer activites are located within the U.S. borders and can be found at unicefusa.org/volunteer.
Since you're in South Africa, you might want to contact the UNICEF office in Pretoria (pretoria@unicef.org). You may also wish to visit the U.N. Volunteer program which UNICEF uses from time to time, at www.unv.org.
Thanks for your question and interest in helping save kids' lives!
