Clay Aiken: Give the gift of growing up

UNICEF and Malaria No More are teaming up to defeat malaria—a completely preventable disease that still kills one child every 30 seconds worldwide. But as UNICEF Ambassador Clay Aiken puts it in this short video, "It doesn't have to be this way." He shows how insecticide treated bednets provided by UNICEF are being used to protect children from malaria in Somalia.

For a limited time, Malaria No More will match your donation in the fight against malaria, helping UNICEF save twice as many lives. To learn more, click here. Or, "give the gift of growing up" and make an online donation today.

It's really good to see you again, Mr. Aiken. And for such a worthy cause. It's also wonderful to see Malaria No More making an impact in Somalia now too and matching funds!! Thank you.

There's an expression in basketball for a beautifully-made field goal, ball gliding through silently, executed with such skill that it looks easy.

"Nothing but net."

That's the double meaning title of the blog that I wrote to support the $1 million dollar UNICEF and Malaria No More Challenge Grant.

As an individual, I am powerless to stop malaria, a disease that kills a child every thirty seconds.

But by joining Clay Aiken, UNICEF and the Malaria No More team, each of us can become an important part of overcoming this challenge to child survival.

I am humbled to stand with you and pleased that my donation will be matched dollar for dollar, providing the bed nets that keep children safe from malaria.

We can each save a life by making a simple donation.

Easy, isn't it?

Nothing but net.

What a worthy cause. I will donate what I can to help protect the children from this disease.

Thanks for the awareness of the issue, Clay, and I will be checking out donating for the malaria nets. Great that the Malaria No More group is matching donations now--what a great incentive!

Once again, I am happy to donate to unicef and especially for bed nets. Such a simple thing we take for granted. I am grateful for all you do and for Clay Aiken's efforts.

Excellent news about the partnership between Malaria No More and Unicef .

Thanks to Clay Aiken for his field notes about the cause.

Josh:

$10.00 is certainly not very much to save a life. It's really sad that kids in this world still die of preventable causes. Thanks for the information.

Pat:

You and UNICEF are doing a great job for children worldwide. Keep up the good work.
