Clean water is essential, yet 900 million people worldwide lack access to it. Waterborne illness is the second highest cause of childhood death in the world, with more than 4,200 children dying everyday of water-related diseases.
You have the ability to make the change necessary in order to save children’s lives and help UNICEF reduce that number to zero. By registering for the 2009 Tap Project you can make that difference!

Hi Rich,
Thanks for posting your comment to the UNICEF USA Fieldnotes Blog.
There are specific guidelines and policies you should follow when you organize a fundraiser on behalf of UNICEF. The best way for you to learn about these is to become a registered US Fund for UNICEF Volunteer at www.unicefusa.org/volunteer.
On the registration page, there is a "Grassroots Volunteer Agreement" that you should refer to when organizing your fundraiser. Also, once you are registered, there are additional resources and guidelines available insite the Online Volunteer Center at: http://volunteers.unicefusa.org/volunteer-center/activity-toolkits.html
I'm also sending a copy of your comment to our Volunteer team here at the US Fund for UNICEF. For more specific guidance, or help with your plans, please contact them at: volunteer@unicefusa.org
Best regards,
Frank, UNICEF USA
