Thanks for water! Thanks for Tap!

I have tons to be thankful for as we usher in the New Year. For starters, I can enjoy access to clean water. Not everyone in the world is so lucky. UNICEF works around the clock to help bring clean drinking water to millions across the world. In March, the UNICEF Tap Project will raise awareness of the world water crisis and raise funds to help children gain access to water and sanitation.
But we need the support of dedicated UNICEF Tap Project volunteers to do this, and we encourage you to join the campaign as a volunteer. Here are three ways in which you can volunteer and support the campaign: 1) Recruit and support restaurants. During World Water Week, March 19-25, participating restaurants will pay $1 or more for the tap water the usually enjoy for free. Proceeds benefit the UNICEF Tap Project. 2) Host a UNICEF Tap Project fundraising event. 3) Spread awareness and promote the UNICEF Tap Project in the media. Whatever you choose to do to help out, you will have tools available at the Volunteer Center at UNICEF TapProject.org to help you throughout the campaign. This year, campaign funds will support water and sanitation projects in Cameroon, Mauritania, Togo and Vietnam. UNICEF is already on the ground in these countries working to provide access water and sanitation facilities. With your support, UNICEF will be able to provide even further assistance, saving more lives.
