Tap Project regional trainings kick off!

This weekend the UNICEF Tap Project Team kicked off the first round of regional trainings. Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City welcomed nearly 250 volunteers! Volunteers left the regional training equipped with everything they need for the 2012 UNICEF Tap Project Campaign. Volunteers learned about the history of UNICEF, the global water crisis, how to recruit participating restaurants to the campaign and how giving $1 can make a big difference in a child’s life.

The past weekend the UNICEF Tap Project team kicked off the first round of regional trainings. Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City welcomed nearly 250 volunteers! Volunteers left the regional training equipped with everything they need for the 2012 UNICEF Tap Project Campaign. Volunteers learned about UNICEF's work, the global water crisis, how to recruit participating restaurants to the campaign and how just $1 can make a big difference in a child’s life. I had an amazing time on Saturday, January 28 and Sunday, January 29 meeting all of the New York City volunteers and assisting the city coordinators with the training. It was wonderful to see all of the city coordinators’ hard work finally come together. We currently have over 1,700 UNICEF Tap Project volunteers nationally. I am excited to join the dedicated volunteers make this campaign a true success.
