On this year’s extra day in February, many organizations joined the U.S. Fund for UNICEF at the Millennium UN Plaza Hotel for cocktails and conversation during the 2012 Commission on the Status of Women (CSW).  We were honored to be joined by some of our partners and colleagues who are working tirelessly to advance the status of women, including Zonta International, General Federation of Women’s Clubs, Soroptimist International, and several other amazing organizations.

It was a great night to reconnect with friends and colleagues, and to be introduced to those on the other end of our many email exchanges.  The CSW is an exciting annual opportunity to exchange ideas and best practices that continue to push for gender equality and the advancement of women around the world, and we were thrilled to be among so many organizations doing such great work. With the support of all of our partners, colleagues, and like-minded organizations, we are hopeful that this trend carries on and continues to grow.

Thank you to all of our guests for joining us on this special evening.  We were pleased to catch up with every single one of you and look forward to doing the same at next year’s event. Until then, we appreciate the continued collaboration that will take place in the coming year to explore additional ways to tackle global issues.
