As one of the longest-running volunteer initiatives in America, it is only fitting that Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF will again join forces with UNICEF’s Change for Good program on American Airlines, a volunteer-based effort.
Change for Good is a global UNICEF program that converts travelers’ donations of foreign or domestic currency into lifesaving services for the world’s children. American Airlines has been the participating airline in the U.S. since 1994. UNICEF’s Change for Good program on American Airlines has raised over $8 million since that time through the volunteer efforts of Champions for Children, the American Airlines employees who collect funds to help UNICEF make a difference in the lives of the world’s most vulnerable children.
For the fourth consecutive Halloween, Champions for Children will Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF from Oct. 24-31 on selected international American Airlines flights, providing an opportunity for American’s customers to donate their foreign and domestic currency to support Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF. Travelers can also join in on the festivities for the entire month of October by donating spare change in special Halloween-themed collection boxes when visiting Admirals Club® lounges and Flagship Lounges® worldwide. Coin by coin, note by note, these donations add up to make a huge difference in the life of a child in need.
