Thank You to Our UNICEF Volunteers!
The Volunteer and Community Partnerships Department is honored to wish you and our over 45,000 UNICEF Volunteers a happy Volunteer Week, April 21-27.
Each year during this week, we select a handful of volunteers to receive the President’s Volunteer Service Award. These volunteers represent the tens of thousands of people across the country who help us extend the UNICEF mission to others. This year’s winners are a collection of true servant-leaders. Please take a moment to celebrate their accomplishments.
This weekend also marks Global Youth Service Day, and one of our UNICEF High School Club presidents, Misha Ahmad, will be receiving the “Heroes for Change Award” at the Radio Disney Awards ceremony in Los Angeles. Misha, a UNICEF High School Club founder and president has been fundraising with her club for the UNICEF Tap Project and the Eliminate project.
Next week, UNICEF Volunteers are asked to participate in the Live Below the Line Campaign. We will be raising funds for UNICEF while living on $1.50 per day for food and drink for five days. While this is extremely challenging, it is the reality for 1.2 million people around the world. How much change can you make happen, for $1.50?
Join us and visit the UNICEF Action Center to learn about these volunteer activities!
