MLB and UNICEF Team Up for All-Star Week

Major League Baseball has been an important UNICEF partner over the years, supporting major disaster relief efforts after the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the 2011 tsunami in Japan. The partnership between MLB and UNICEF now hits closer to home, so to speak. This July, while the MLB All-Star Game is being held in New York City, UNICEF supporters are being provided an opportunity to both be a part of MLB All-Star Week and help the world’s most vulnerable children.

MLB All-Star Fan-Fest logoMajor League Baseball has been an important UNICEF partner over the years, supporting major disaster relief efforts after the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti and the 2011 tsunami in Japan. MLB responded to those emergencies, along with its teams and players, by providing over a million dollars in critical funding as well as much needed advocacy efforts in support of donations from their fans. The partnership between MLB and UNICEF now hits closer to home, so to speak. This July, while the MLB All-Star Game is being held in New York City, UNICEF supporters are being provided an opportunity to both be a part of MLB All-Star Week and help the world’s most vulnerable children. The mid-summer classic, as the MLB All-Star Game is often called, is being played at the home of the New York Mets (Citi Field in Queens). The game features baseball’s top players in a celebration of America’s national pastime. Leading up to the game is the popular T-Mobile All-Star FanFest, where fans of all ages can interact with the game and the players on a variety of levels. It’s a baseball theme park set up in the heart of Manhattan (at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center). As valued partners, MLB is offering UNICEF supporters the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to T-Mobile All-Star FanFest, with a portion of the discounted ticket price donated to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF. Tickets that normally cost $35 per person, will be discounted to $20, with $5 going to UNICEF. It’s a great deal, for a great event, supporting a great cause. T-Mobile FanFest runs from Friday, July 12 through Tuesday, July 16 (the day of the MLB All-Star Game at Citi Field). To order tickets, or to learn more about T-Mobile All-Star FanFest, just follow this link to a special MLB/UNICEF T-Mobile FanFest web page. Hopefully you’ll get to enjoy this once in a lifetime MLB experience!
