In Celebration of International Women's Day
March 8 is International Women's Day, and we are marking the occasion with a photo of a young female leader.
16-year-old Tamanna, shown here with her mother, is the chairperson of the Child Forum in the Bhasantek slums of Mirpur, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Tamanna works to mobilize her peers and her community on issues that plague young women like early marriage and sexual harassment. Thank you, Tamanna, for helping make a better world for girls and women!
