My father, Danny Kaye, whose 100th birthday we are celebrating today, was appointed the first UNICEF ambassador to the world’s children in 1954. Though my father achieved legendary success in Hollywood, on Broadway, television and the concert stage, he often said working with UNICEF was his most rewarding role. He always went the extra mile. Perhaps you will be inspired to go that extra mile, too.

A world changing endeavor

The State of the World’s Children report inspired me to increase my support to the U.S. Fund. I knew without a doubt that I could make a real difference in the lives of many children. And because I wanted to make sure the battle for children’s lives continued to be won long after I was gone, a few years later I named the U.S. Fund for UNICEF in my will. Please join me and become a member of the Danny Kaye Society by remembering the U.S. Fund for UNICEF in your will.
