Mindy Grossman and USF Staff

HSN Believes in ZERO

Caryl Stern Book Group

— The last time my friend Mindy Grossman and I spent a significant amount of time together, our bus was bouncing us along a dusty, rutted road in Senegal. This time, we were sitting in armchairs under bright studio lights, waiting for the cameras to roll. Mindy, when she’s not visiting UNICEF programs in West Africa […]

Check out what’s new this Halloween! Thanks to FEED Projects and HSN – Proud Supporters for the 2010 Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF campaign — there’s a new way to Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF this year AND help children in need. Trick-or-Treaters can carry the brand new FEED Trick-or-Treat bag while collecting donations for the children of the world in their orange Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF boxes. When the box fills up – start filling up the bag!

UNICEF Next Generation members, Lauren Bush and Ellen Gustafson, combined their passion for UNICEF and their company, FEED Projects, to create the first ever FEED Trick-or-Treat bag to benefit UNICEF. Brand new this year, the bags are available exclusively at HSN and hsn.com starting September 16, 2010. For every FEED Trick-or-Treat bag purchased, HSN will donate $3.50, which will enable UNICEF to provide enough micronutrient powders for one child in the developing world for ONE YEAR! As a testimony to their commitment to caring about every community, HSN is donating not only their airtime to promote the bag, but also 100% of their profits ($3.50 per bag) to support UNICEF!

These burlap carriers are not only a new way to collect treats while collecting donations for Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF, but they also help combat a critical issue facing millions of children worldwide. Malnutrition contributes to nearly one half of all preventable deaths of children under five years old. This is absolutely unacceptable! But now there is another way to help. Supporters can carry their FEED Trick-or-Treat bag with pride this year during Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF’s 60th anniversary, knowing that because of their purchase, HSN will help UNICEF move one step closer in fighting the battle against childhood malnutrition.
