Celebrating 60 years, Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF is the U.S. Fund for UNICEF’s longest-running volunteer movement and has engaged generations of grassroots supporters of UNICEF’s mission to reduce the number of preventable childhood deaths to zero. The program remains an inspiration to the young (and the young at heart) to further the cause of children everywhere.
Awesome, totally fun and absolutely amazing are the words that describe the Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF 60th anniversary celebration in New York on Wednesday evening. Celebrating 60 years of kids helping kids, the party was a celebration of kids and partners who have made Trick-or-Treat for UNICEF a beloved campaign for generations of Americans to help kids in need all over the world.
Grown ups and kids in costume made their way down the orange carpet to enjoy a fun evening of face painting, balloon artistry, magic, photo booths, candied apples and signature blood orange Bellini “mocktails” ! Special guests included representatives from our National Sponsors Toys”R”Us, Inc. and HGTV and even Geoffrey the Giraffe was spotted mingling with the crowd.

With the help of professional designers, three families will turn their quiet suburban homes into a mystical and frightful sight for Halloween in HGTV’s Halloween Block Party. This weekend I traveled to Phoenix Arizona to attend Pinnacle High School Key Club’s “Spooktacular,” a Halloween Carnival to benefit UNICEF. This event, now in its fourth year, is organized by the Key Club and is one of Key Club International’s largest fundraisers, generating thousands of dollars in years past.
